Volunteer for Climate Action in Morocco | CYDE Foundation

Youth cyde foundation

CYDE Foundation is young, and the people who join now will help decide how it grows. If you care about climate, energy, digital tools or young people in Morocco and Africa, there is probably a way for you to contribute. Anyone who wants to volunteer for climate action in Morocco can start on this page.

Ways to contribute

Young people

Take part in the youth programme, join a workshop and tell us what you want to learn.

Speakers and hosts

Give a talk at one of our events, or host a session for young people at your organisation.

Writers and reviewers

Write a short analysis for the blog or review a draft publication in your field.

Mentors

Share what you know with a student or a young professional starting out in climate, energy or digital work.

Organisations

Build a joint project or a long term partnership. Our Partners page explains how we do that.

What we ask of volunteers

Most of our work will be done by people who give part of their time. We ask for a clear commitment, even a small one, and we in turn promise to give you real tasks, a named contact in the team and honest feedback. We will also tell you when we cannot use an offer, rather than leaving you waiting.

Writing to us

A short message is enough. Tell us who you are, which of our four pillars interests you (climate, youth, digital or energy), what you can offer and when you are available. If you have an idea for a project, add two or three lines about it.

Write to contact@cydefondation.org or use the contact page.

Support and funding

We do not collect donations online. If you or your organisation want to support our work financially or with resources, please talk to us first. Each contribution is recorded and reported according to our governance principles, so that supporters and the public can see how funds are used.

Why join a new organisation

You will not find a long history here, but you will find room to shape priorities and methods. Early contributors help set the standards that the foundation will keep as it grows into a think tank. You also get to work on topics that Morocco and the continent will deal with for decades.

Volunteer roles in detail

Researchers and students help us find and read sources, build small datasets and draft sections of briefs. Writers and editors turn findings into clear text for blog posts and guides. Designers and communicators prepare graphics, slides and social media posts. Event organisers help plan workshops and meetings. Mentors meet young participants and share what they know about studying, working and applying for opportunities.

Most roles can be done remotely and in a few hours a week. Tell us what you can offer and we will propose a first task.

Students and universities

If you are studying a subject close to our four pillars, you can base a thesis or a project on one of our questions. We cannot promise supervision, but we can discuss your topic, point you to sources and, where useful, review your results. University teachers who want to bring a class into contact with our work are welcome to write.

Speakers, events and press

We can speak at events about our themes, and we welcome invitations. Journalists with questions can write to contact@cydefondation.org and we will answer as precisely as we can, including saying so when a question is outside our field.

Behaviour we expect

Everyone involved in CYDE activities follows our code of conduct, which asks for respect, honesty about credit and prompt disclosure of any conflict of interest. It is described on the Governance & Transparency page.
