Turning Ideas Into Action, Through Technology

At CYDE Foundation, digital technology is how we scale impact. It's what lets a young person's idea for their neighborhood become a real, trackable, fundable project. It's what connects our teams, our partners, and the communities we serve — even when they're hundreds of kilometers apart.

Digital Innovation for a Resilient, Green Africa

CYDE Foundation believes that Africa’s climate and energy future will be shaped by young people who know how to turn ideas into action, and digital technology is what makes that possible at scale. Across the continent, thousands of talented young people have strong ideas for their communities but lack access to the digital skills, tools, and visibility needed to bring those ideas to life. Our Digital program exists to close that gap, giving youth-led climate and energy projects the technical foundation they need to grow from a local idea into a fundable, trackable, and replicable initiative anywhere in Africa.

Digital innovation is not a side project for us. It is the connective layer that links research to action and links young people in one country to opportunities, partners, and peers in another. As CYDE Foundation grows from a Morocco-based youth initiative into a pan-African platform for climate and energy action, digital tools are what allow us to stay coordinated, transparent, and effective across borders, languages, and time zones.

Digital Skills Training for Young Changemakers

Many of the young people we work with have the motivation and the local knowledge to lead real environmental change, but they have never had the chance to learn practical digital skills. Through hands-on workshops, CYDE Foundation teaches youth across Africa how to map environmental data for their own neighborhoods, build simple websites and presentations to explain their projects, use artificial intelligence tools to save time on research and communication, and share their work clearly online so it reaches the people who can support it. These are not abstract lessons. Every workshop is built around a real project a participant is already working on, so the skills stick and the output is immediately useful.

Helping Project Holders Get Visible and Get Funded

A strong idea that nobody can see rarely attracts funding or partnership, and this is one of the biggest barriers facing young climate and energy leaders across Africa. CYDE Foundation helps project holders document their work properly, with clear goals, honest numbers, and simple visuals that make sense to funders, local institutions, and international partners alike. We support young people in building the kind of digital presence that international donors, climate funds, and development agencies expect to see before they commit resources, whether that project is based in Casablanca, Lagos, Nairobi, or Dakar.

A Digital Bridge Across African Youth Networks

Our ambition goes beyond any single country. CYDE Foundation is building the digital infrastructure to connect young climate and energy leaders across Africa, so that a mapping tool developed for a water project in Morocco can be adapted by a team working on flood resilience in West Africa, and a communication strategy that worked in one city can be reused in another. This shared digital foundation turns isolated local efforts into a continental movement, backed by consistent standards, shared learning, and a common commitment to measurable results.

Get Involved

If you are a young person with an idea for your community, or an organization looking to partner with a fast-growing pan-African youth network, our Digital program is where that conversation starts.
